Owner & Project Manager

Jeff has been in the building industry for over 20 years. He grew up helping his father build cabinets and furniture. From a young age he learned the importance of quality craftsmanship, and the hard work that necessitates. This knowledge resonates into his approach to managing each project, as well as managing Seaside Construction as a whole.

After graduating from the University of Houston, Jeff spent nine years at one of Houston’s largest home builders. Starting as a Construction Manager, Jeff’s work ethic and knowledge propelled him through the ranks to Director of Construction, Director of Sales, and eventually Vice President of Operations. As Construction Manager, Jeff built over 100 homes in the greater Houston area. As Vice President of Operations, Jeff was responsible for the construction of over 1,100 new homes annually.

Jeff runs Seaside Construction in the professional manner he learned in the corporate world, but with a personal hands-on approach you expect to find at a smaller company.  As a U.S. Navy Veteran and former Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman, Jeff has an intense commitment to excellence and his clients.

Married with four children, Jeff and his family have been in Galveston for nearly a decade. He is active in his community, and appreciates the many opportunities the island has given him. 

Alfred Ledesma

Project Manager

Alfred has 17 years of experience working in the printing industry where he quickly worked his way from a base level employee to a management position handing multimillion dollar printing machinery and handling client relations for the company.  He excelled in managing multiple high level accounts and was proficient in the printing business. 

After many years in the printing business Alfred decided to join the family business in construction handling drywall installations.  He was President of his family’s company and handled the daily operations and all client affiliations.  After 13 years in the family business Alfred opened his own drywall company and specialized in high end custom homes, which has given him some of his experience in custom home building.  Alfred joined the Seaside team mid 2018 as Project Manager and has since been utilizing his years of experience in management and custom homes to provide our clients with a first-rate building experience.  Alfred’s mission is to give our clients the custom home of their dreams.

Alfred currently lives in Tomball but has always loved Galveston and plans to become an IBC (Islander By Choice) as soon as possible.  Alfred is married with 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and is a lover of animals with 4 cats and 5 dogs.

Amaris McDermott

Assistant Project Manager &
Selections Specialist

Amaris has 10+ years of office, administrative, and client driven experience within the building industry. Prior to joining the Seaside team, she assisted on numerous large scale construction & rehabilitation projects, as well as residential renovations.

As our Assistant Project Manager and selections specialist, Amaris works directly with clients, acting as the liaison between them and our various product vendors and subcontractors.  She assists in managing the overall build and will consistently visit each jobsite  to ensure every detail of our clients design is addressed. The timeline of the build is often dependent on decisions being relayed from clients to vendors. Her management and organizational skills ensures timely and accurate product selections are made during the building process and that those details are communicated to all appropriate trades, a key factor in a successful build. 

Born and raised in Galveston, Amaris has spent nearly two decades working not only in the building industry, but also within hospitality management on the island. This is evident in her ability to successfully navigate clients through what can often be a stressful aspect of building a custom home.

Amaris continues to be an active resident of Galveston, loves volunteering with her church, and enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids enjoying the island life.

Valarie Perez

Controller

Valarie joined Seaside in  2018 as Controller and is responsible for all things accounting and finance for the company as well as all current construction projects.  Prior to joining Seaside Valarie worked for over 30 years in the Hospitality Industry.  During Valarie’s extensive hospitality career she also acquired experience in Restaurant Operations, Construction, and Property Management.  Valarie also handled the accounting needs of a flooring company and plumbing company.  Collectively her background provides her with the understanding to handle the accounting and finance needs in custom home building.

As our Accounting Controller Valarie works directly with the staff, subcontractors, and clients.  Her experience combined with her attention to detail allows her to oversee the budgets for each build and assists in creating project deliverables.

Valarie was born and raised in Dallas, TX and decided to move to the area to be near family.  Since moving to Texas City Valarie has loved living near the ocean and enjoys spending time with her three bulldogs.
